If any of you are like me, I struggled with the proper routing and attachment of the clutch cable that comes with the MK4 complete kit. If you look closely at the picture, the bracket is turned around and then attached to the main tube. Its away from the headers and has clean path to the tranny.

You might think about putting some heat shielding on the cable, to reduce the possibility of melting the housing. My cable passes within 4" of the headers. Jim

Both good ideas - especially the heat shielding; I melted a clutch cable on my roadrace Mustang once - added heat shield to the new one and never a problem after that.

Sounds like a good idea. My runs about 3" from the header.
