I am getting ready to mount the door window frames to the doors and would like to see some detailed photos of that area if anyone has some. It appears I have a lot of material to cut/shave off the doors for the window frames to be able to bolt to the door.
Thank you in advance.

You probably will need to trim the top of the door to allow the window frame to sit up against the inside of the door. Start with the pic below and scroll through the next 8 to 10 pictures. The last two of interest show the doors in Slicksand with the window frames removed. Both doors have one extra hole in the top rear window mount as I was making final tweaks to the position of the frame.
I used washers on some of the bolts between the window frame and the door to get the window frame sitting at the right angle relative to the door frame.
The larger hole in the front mount for the frame goes into the door frame itself. I used a #10 or #12 (can't remember which) and threaded the hole in the door frame. You'll put those frames in several times, so you might want to just use regular nuts and put away the nylon insert nuts until final assembly.

Take your time, do one window at a time so you learn how to deal with the second one.

Yup.definitly alot of trimming...........take your time. I actually trimmed it so there was a 1/8 inch gap or so and used some of the window channel rubber along the door edge as a seal between the window frame and the door.....Steven

Hey DARKPT,
About 10-11 photos into the link above, photo PA130002, you show a wedge shaped molding. Where did you get that, and where is it used?

That would be these two pieces:

I got them from metrommp.com. Look under Universal Parts, then "Window Channels and Sweepers". I thought I was going to stick one of these between the bottom of the window frame and the door skin to seal it, but I ended up using some small bulb seal on the passenger side.
The driver's side fit is so close that I can't find something that I like to fit in between to seal it, so for now it is not sealed. When I did play with the larger of the two in the picture, it was clear that it would need to be secured to the window frame bottom to keep it nice and straight. Otherwise the strip gets pretty wavy.
