Factory Five customer Mike C. drove by this morning to show us the finished car that started out two years ago as FFR Hot Rod #0015. Mike chose to power the car with a small block 302 producing about 320 HP mated to a automatic transmission and a solid axle 8.8″ rear end.

Mike’s family helped to select the paint which is a BMW light blue metallic that in real life looks VERY vintage and period correct. The 15″ wheels and baby moons look great with the affordable BF Goodrich Radial TA tires. Mike used 275/60 series tires in the back and 225/60s up front. The car has a stereo, removable hard top, and after only a few weeks, the car has over 300 miles on the clock.

I LOVE the look of that '33! Very nicely executed. Is the owner on the forum? I sure would like to see the firewall; It looks like he engine-turned it. Great color, and the wheels look great. Half moons on a 33 really look good!

Well done!

David. I did most of the assembly on that car. yes the firewall is engine turned and then clear coated. I believe that might be the first hotrod with electric door releases. No more cables. I drilled out the locks in the handles and installed switches that release the door. It works from the inside as well.
The owner is on the forum but does not post too much.
