Hey everyone,
New to the forum; my father and I have been building an MKIV together now for about 1 1/2 years. If anyone is interested in following the build, I update pictures regularly on an online gallery at www.pbase.com/bgrooms. Also, if there are any of you from the Seattle area, let me know, it's always good to have people around with similar interests and knowledge.

Sure looks like you are well on your way and doing a great job. My name is Wayne Downey and I'm from Raymond, Wa. down on the coast. I'm still planning my Roadster and waiting for my oldest son to get his finaincing so he can buy my house, thereby giving me the money to begin.I've been back to Wareham and have been planning for a long time. I'd love to get a up close look at your progress and get some measurements. Can you tell me your engine plans and when you hope to install it. I'm planning a twin turbo 331 from my dad's first and only new car. It was a 1968 4 door Custom. I was a junior in high school when we got it and the motor currently has 90'000 miles on it. I'll have a plumber nightmare so that is why I was hoping to get measurements from your build. I'd appreciate hearing from you and if it's easier just call me at 360-942-2583.
Thanks, Wayne Downey

Thanks Wayne, it has been a lot of fun. You should have no problems fitting that motor in it. There are quite a few guys out there that have twin turbo set-ups, big blocks, Chevy LS motors, etc. I am putting the Ford Racing small block 427 crate motor in mine. I should have it by next January, paying cash for everything so it takes a little time to build up funds.
