I'm trying to set up the the sweep on my windshield wiper. I've noticed there isn't enough sweep to cover the complete windshield. It seems like it needs a sweep of about 170*. The way it is set up now it has to start where it is in the picture in order to clean in the driver's area of the windshield. The only thing I see different on my set up from the manual is the wiper motor arm. I think that the wiper motor arm on my motor is shorter than the one pictured on the manual. Can any of you guys that have the arm pictured on the manual measure the distance from the center of the bolt that holds the arm to the motor to the to the center of the hole that holds the tie rod on that same arm?

That is not the correct arm on your wiper motor. The arm from the C5 wiper motor has a complex little park/cam mech. I measure about 2 9/16" from center to center on the pivot points. Without the C5 arm, you'll have no park position. You'll also need the stamped plate that sandwiches between the motor and mounting plate for the park cam to work. Here is a pic of it......the screwdriver pointing out the tab needed for the park cam to index from:

With this set-up, you get almost the opposite of the problem you have......you about run out of room for the wiper to sweep both ways. When parked it's almost touching the hood, and when when it's at the full left part of the sweep, the bottom of the wiper arm almost touches the hood.

Thanks Shane. That clears it up.
