I was using MS paint initially, but another forum member introduced me to GIMP which is free at:

http://www.gimp.org/

I am wondering what other tools folks on the forum are using, cost and web based learning resources...

Cheers!

A mix of Craftsman and Proto. When I don't have something and I need it for the current project, I'll run to the Autozone and get whatever house brand they have this year. I'll admit to a smidgeon of Harbor Freight from when times were tougher.

For video I'm using my Go Pro Hero HD 2.
General pics I'm use my Droid Bionic cell phone.
Photo editing: none yet for this project, but I've used Corel Paint Shop Pro in the past
Video Editing: Windows live video something or other (free with windows)

Wrenching:
Craftsman, gear wrench, kobalt, some auto store house brands, some harbor freight, Dewalt power tools (happened to find a good deal on a used sawzall!). Tools I plan to use often I spend more and get a good piece of equipment. Tools I plan to use for a single specialty task I sometimes go to harbor freight.

Well I guess I am lucky. I have a pole barn with a lift. It took me 50 years to get one but it is worth it. Lifts are more affordable than ever. I highly recommend one, the money is well spent. 10429I am down to the motor now.
