Anyone used black rivets in the past ? I am thinking of doing my panels in black and I would like to use in the engine bay area black Rivets because the aluminum ones stand out. Would like anodized black rivets Amy thoughts

McMaster-Carr has what you are looking for.

"Ultimate Rivet" ~ I used these (black) in the engine bay and it gives a nice contrast. They come in a variety of colors and are a high quality rivet. http://www.adprivet.com/ultimate_rivets.html

I have used colored rivets in the past from Speedway Motors. They have 8-10 different colors in 1/8 and 3/16th sizes.

If you do buy new rivets I suggest getting a multi-grip rivet. The ones I use take a slightly larger drill and expand to fill the hole for a much tighter joint.
They also don’t leave lump on the back side. I am replacing all the rivets that I got from FFR with ones from McMaster-carr.

I used Avex rivets from Crawford - typically used for aviation and race cars. Not sure if they come in black, though. I did use a couple of the black rivets from McMaster, though on something else and they seemed pretty good.
