With a 33 HR set at proper ride height all questions relate to rear suspension only
1. Is the suspension set midway on compression and rebound, or is there less compression travel allowed?
2. What is the design/desired angle for the upper and lower control arms and pinion?
3. Is 7.5 inches the design delta from bottom of frame to axle center?
4. Were those ground clearance calcs done with a 25" tall tire?

I'm trying to run as big a rear tire as possible (27") in a full fender to enhance ride and ground clearance without creating
issues with launch/dive/squat/coil bind etc.
Thanks

Wow I'm not feeling the love here. No reply from tech yet.
Anyone else think 3 1/4" ground clearance from the running boards is going to work well for a streetrod?

Send a PM to Dan Ruth (KGB911). He's the guru when it comes to suspension especially when it comes to fenders with running boards.

Dale,

3 ¼” is pretty low. We recommend 4 ½” ride height front and rear. Most of the calculations were done with a 25.7” diameter tire. If you use a smaller tire the ride height should still be around 4 ½” for ground clearance.

The rear lower control arms should be set at a slight downward angle going lower to the rear. You don’t ever want the control arms to be higher in the back than the front. The pinion angle should be set at 2 degrees down.

The fenders are designed for a 25.7” maximum tire diameter front and rear.

Best regards,

Thanks EriK
I did and ask the DR and he is sending me the RX for a healthy ride.

Thanks for the tire size confirmation that helps calculate the intended delta.
