After returning from vacation, Karen Salvaggio stopped by my shop to check progress of her new Type 65R race car. After admiring the beautiful motor assembled by Robert Walter (Provided and built by DSS, which in it's own right is just plain art!) she leaned over and gave the valve cover a little kiss... Well, POOF, that little 331 magically transformed into a rockin' 427!! I don't know how Karen does it, but she just manages to make tings happen.
For those of you who are faithful followers, you can book a private audience with karen and turn your little motors into monsters! If unsuccessful you might want to try DSS.
Happy motoring,
Rick

Rick,
Well, I'll be bringing my coupe by next month for a little of that magic ... better clean the valve covers first, though!

Rick, Rick, Rick..Tsk, tsk, tsk (head shaking)......Ok you guys, you're crackin' me up......
That motor is truly a thing of beauty, and I'm sure I had stars in my eyes when I saw it...A balanced and blueprinted motor sitting pretty on an engine stand, ready to bring someone's build to life just has to be appreciated....Tom and Eric at DSS Racing have been amazingly supportive of our race effort. They were so impressed with Team Thunder Valley Racing's endurance effort over the last three years that they've featured us on the front page of their website. We're in good company too, as Farra Snook's amazing land speed record-holding Coupe is on there as well.....I think they like the FFR Coupes! Thanks guys!

Robert....Thanks for coming up and finishing the assembly work! You rock!
Garry.....Can't wait to see Elvira up close...Looking forward to seeing you for the Tour de Serpents in a couple of weeks!!......We're gonna have some serious fun!
Mike.....Given NASA's recent shift of the Super Touring classifications, we will be in ST-1 when we run there...The car is being built primarily to run in vintage events though, and will be very competitive in the Big Bore group at just about any vintage/historic event. No plans to run the new Coupe in enduros. We're gonna let the big boys with big bucks play in ES.

Ahem;) that would be Edelbrock upper and lower with matching throttle body. Friday evening, Hank and I "slipped" the motor and tranny into it's resting spot.
With the expert guidance/ help from Hank Lopez and Russ Thompson, we got well under way with the body fitment this last weekend.
