Hi guys I am just getting started with my build. I have noticed some guys will make An acases hatch over top of the driver foot box. I assume for acases to the pedals and brake parts. Not sure if this is needed. Any thoughts. ??????

Personally speaking, I wish mine did. I'll be adding one once I figure out what I want to do. There are posts about it either here or on FFCars.

Definitely add an access panel. I am installing my Wilwood pedal box now and know there will be several areas that may need maintenance in the future. Depending on your systems, (manual vs powered, Willwood or donor, clutch slave vs cable, throttle cable vs linkage) there will likely be times you need to replace or even want to upgrade parts in the future. Imagine laying on your back upside down in the foot box trying to change even a bolt after the body is on :p

...made changing it a 10 minute job from above. Without it I would have had my head and arms stuffed into the footbox and there would have been a lot of swearing going on  Do it!

If there is anything up there that you think you may need to reach later, then an access panel is a good idea. Unless you are 6ft tall, thin, and don't mind working while standing on your head. I added mine after reading about a lot of clutch cables braking and knew that it would be a major PITA for me to try to change it without access from above.

EDIT: Or what Jeff said :-)

Do it!!!! Mine isn't and I dread working in that area cause it is painful. My back doesn't like being punched by the left front corner of my seat at all!
