I would like to start off by saying I was a member of the old forums and was very close to pulling the trigger on the mk3, my boss has one and the idea of building a car in my garage with my own hands has always been a dream of mine. When I heard that Dave was developing a new kit based on a subaru wrx I was totally sold on that idea being that I have always loved the imports and owned a 91 Toyota mr2 which I sold for the mini van and I recently purchased a 88 mr2 supercharged which was sitting in my garage collecting dust. I needed something new to get the blood flowing, so I sold the 88 mr2 and sat waiting for news on the 818. Like most people here when I first saw the photo I had mixed emotions, but that's because I have been watching the development of this car from the start with all the different entries to the contest you tend to route for the one you like best, but the more I look at the car with the video release of the go kart it gets me very excited to see what the final outcome will be. I think once people see the car in person it will be a no brainer. We should all just sit back because November will be here before you know it and dave will be shipping kits soon, time flys! Sorry to the long post.

I agree Adrian, I am tring to wait patiently for SEMA and the ability to order my kit. I have the donor already and have begun some work. Time flies the older I get.
