It will work just fine. The showroom FFR GTM is, in fact, a Gen I car with a Gen II body on it. I know because while I did not get the body that came off the showroom car, I got the non finished body off of the car that the old showroom body from the Gen I went onto.

There are actually quite a few differences, but nothing that will be anything out of the norm as far as making the body fit. The other way around might not be so easy, but putting a Gen II body on a Gen I car there should be no "special" issues. Just make sure that ALL the parts are Gen II as doors, rear hatch, nose, like I said, generally every panel, are different from the Gen I.

BTW- We did the Gen I to Gen II body swap on the FFR PDG GTM race car last year and all went well. There were a few sheet metal differences, but nothing major, and we are still able to use the Gen I noses with the Gen II otherwise bodied car.

Thanks for the info. Its good to hear from people who know what they are talking about. I hope crash is just a nickname, and not the way certain people drive.
