Hi! Hope this post doesn't ressemble any previous post.
Anyway, I'm fairly new to the forum. And I'm interested in the 818. But I'm wondering about it's daily and vacation usefulness. Aside from the reliability/mpg, is there going to be any reasonable luggage room? Can I carry a suitcase or two?
Just curious.
Thanks for any opinions on this. ;)

There is a lot of volume in the rear of the car over the back of the transmission. I'm sure that Factory Five is planning a decently sized trunk on at least one of the models. Look at the go-cart and notice they even routed the exhaust down under to keep this area clear.

The design/(s) is not complete and speculation on a trunk that doesnt exist or these characteristics is tough at this point. We will be able to answer these questions fully when we introduce the car later this year. We do have a well defined set of design goals that are guiding the development process fully.

I'm hoping for 2 small carry-on sized bags.
I see some really fun road trip potential through the mtns. of Colorado for this...
Golf clubs? Its called the passenger seat. :D

That would be about right for my expectations of cargo space as well. :)

I actually went into the luggage isle recently. An unusually flat "rolling duffel" looked like it might stand vertically behind a passenger's seat.

Something like the Lotus Elise trunk, a locking glove box and maybe a lockable center arm rest would be ideal IMO. A place to put valuables while you run into the store, and enough room to grab a gallon of milk and a few bags of groceries.

I'm not sure I'd want groceries that close to the engine!!! LoL Make it home and the milk as boiled and exploded...

Now that's a concept! Can we put a flat plate on the motor itself for frying up some burgers or... for the Cars and Coffee mornings.. pancakes!!!
