Basically we have been lied to.
Jim’s design was ‘dead, gone, not going to be used…’
Oh really?
I am outta here. I have no more use for people who exploit young designers and waste their efforts. Jim is a crummy body designer without an original idea in his head - Dave is completely manipulative - and FFR is just another kit car company without a design soul, sucking the life blood from actual creative people like a vampire.
It is just too bad, there could have been something great aesthetically come out of all this
There are some really talented and very smart people in this community and I will miss you. Not all of you were kind to me nor was I very nice to many of you. Nonetheless the level of knowledge and insight here was an inspiration and I learned far more than I contributed, including the folks I banged heads with. I apologize for being an a###### and I sincerely hope you can accept that.
I have pulled my albums. If you never checked them out then you are the loser.
Many of you have my e-mail and I welcome contacts at any time.

You do make some good points, but I don't think you should leave. I doubt this is the final design. Things will always change, best to wait until SEMA or until production starts to make your final decision. Then again Dave has said that the body is finished and who knows, maybe this is what it is. Would be nice to have a little clarity. I don't really understand the reason they are waiting to SEMA to unveil anything. All that anticipation can lead up to a big success or a big let down. Bold move, too bold IMO.

Basically we have been lied to.........
Maybe building developers are a sleazy bunch, but they all lie to me and I still do work for them and cash their checks.
Like George Carlin used to say in his act:
To a guy in a suit......................Carlin; What do you do for a living?
A (in his own voice); I'm a business man!
Carlin; Oh, so you lie for a living.
A; Well yes I do, I see you know of my work.;)
Oldpro, it ain't over, I don't hear the fat lady singing.
I do know some people on-line who still believe there are Iraqi WMD's buried somewhere in the Syrian desert, some lies live on.
I'm holding out hope that we can get some revisions out of FFR, but it is very little hope. Guess I'm just a silly man.

I agree that you shouldn't leave. I think you're going to see a lot of people feel the way you do, although you comments are probably bolder than what I'd make, I do agree with some of what you are saying.
I do feel that perhaps my definition of HOF is different than Dave's. I agree that it's a little disingenuous that we were told Jim's design was dead to then to see the race version which is an improved version of Jim's design. Obviously some are happy with the car, others are not, but that was bound to happen.
Ultimately I am reserving judgment, at least until I see a built version of the sub-$15k version of the car.
I'll admit that in my disappointment, I poked my head in at the competitors to see how their mid-engine turbo four car is shaping up (and although it's more expensive, it does seem to have the HOF look). I like Dave, and I think FFR is a better company, but still...

What an immature and pathetic rant.
If that's your terrible attitude then we are happy to see you go 'ol pro'. And because someone doesn't look at or like your stuff that certainly does not make them a looser but perhaps people with better things to do with there time.
How old are you?
I'm with you Flamshackle. Completely immature pouting. Olpro, when you are done crying you can show yourself the door and you will not be missed.

olpro, I share much of your anger and disappointment about seeing this "resurrection". I'm hoping that this is just a teaser until the open house

If I never looked at your albums, I'm a loser?

There's no point to this thread, and throwing insults doesn't help, either by the OP or those who reply.
BUT. It seems to me that if you want to "leave" you can simply stop posting. Now, if you want to announce it to the world with finality I can help out in that regard...
I'm closing this thread, and escorting the OP to the door. If he wants back in he can use the "contact us" form to reach out and plead his case.
