Hydor boost removal from donor ?

So in the manual it states to remove the snap ring then the big retaining nut with the FFR special tool, well I just unbolted it and did not do that, is there a reason to remove the nut and snap ring ?

Without a picture I assume you unbolted the hydroboost from the donor with the four bolts that hold it to the firewall. If so that is step one, now you need to remove the plate with the four bolts sticking out from the hydroboost unit itself. That is where the snap ring and the tool come in handy. hth Bill

You will need to remove the plate that is held onto the hydroboost with the nut and snap ring before you can use it in your roadster,. At that time youw will need to remove the snap ring and the nut that holds the plate on. YOU will need the hydroboost removal tool.
