Need some dimensions

I would like some help on finding out what the dimension is form the top, front of the driver side foot box back to the firewall. I need to make an access panel above the master cylinders but I don’t have the body mounted so I can tell exactly where the firewall is positioned. I might add that this is on a type 65 gen 2.

From the front of the box, to the front of the body, I just about 8 1/4 inch. and from the front of the box back to the actual fire wall, I got aprox 12 inch.

what ldave is saying is that there is a "lip" overhang of the top of the body extending out from the actual firewall.....steven
