I'm looking for a little advice (or better yet a couple of pictures). I have a brand new 302 installed in my mk IV. I have plumbed the rad, and installed the heater on the firewall, but I can't figure out the correct way to plumb the heater. I have 2 outlets coming off of the water pump, one outlet pointing forward off of the themostat housing directly adjacent to the large port that the upper rad hose fixes onto, and another open vertical port adjacent to the distributor on the edelbrock manifold. The manifold port is threaded to accept an NPT fitting, so that makes a total of 4 possible connection points, and 2 fittings on the heater.

The heater instructions are not much help, so some guidance as to what hooks up the where would be greatly appreciated. Assuming that the 2 heater fittings will be connected to 2 of the 4 ports, what connects to the other 2? Thanks in advance guys.

One port on the water pump connects to the bypass port on the thermostat housing - next to the upper radiator hose.

The other port on the water pump goes to either of the heater barbs.

The other heater barb is connected to the largest threaded hole in the front of the intake manifold.

Thanks very much. Looks like a quick trip to the parts store and I am good to go. Much appreciated.
