So I am starting to look for a good engine builder. I am not looking to build something wild at all, but I do want someone that can build to the edge of the rules for the series and also provide one that will last and be reliable. For those who don't know we run the 302/5.0 with a custom Twisted Wedge 180 package. We have a few options and leways we can take advantage of so someone who knows the engine and package would be a big plus.
Can you recomend a few people/shops to check out?
Thanks,
Marty

I'm a bit late in answering your question, but just saw it. There are two builders in the area; Boyette's (http://boyettesmachineshop.com/) and Fastlane (http://fastlanemotorsports.us/). Boyette's is an old shop in downtown Raleigh and looks like they started business rebuilding Model A engines. The place is a throwback to what shops looked like in the 1940's and 50's. Fastlane is located south of Raleigh a few miles. I've never seen the place, but they built a couple of engines for dirt track sportsman type cars that a friend of mine had. There may be other shops around. Hope this helps.

That would be easier, but the engine has to be built to FFRC spec.
