Now that I'm recovered from the trip to pick up the kit. 1550 miles Flowery Branch>Detroit. Made a leisurely trip up with a stop at the Henry Ford museum with a friend of mine from work. It was good to have had the company but if I had fully understood how many parts came with the kit, I would have went alone. Joe Camire tried to tell me MANY times but the scope of the number and size of the boxes was beyond what I imagined. The passenger seat would have made a good place to put more stuff :) Literally every inch of space was utilized. One box of smaller parts was unpacked and the contents loaded in any hole, compartment or open space we could find.
Here it is when I got to the house:

Yep, you've now got lots of "stuff" ... soon it will be a gorgeous coupe. Get rested and then get to work. HankL ... TimC needs the official coupe jacket!

Tim,

Raise your right hand and say after me,

"I (State your name), do swear/affirm, that upon acceptance of this "Revered Coupe Jacket", will willingly subject myself to all manner of frustration and abrasion that my FFR Type 65 will provide. I further pledge that any and all fellow Coupe builders will have free reign in using the cash available in my wallet as they see fit to improve my build plan. I will not look down upon our fellow Roadster builders, but rather take pity on those not talented enough to build a race car with a roof, So Help Me God!"

It is my pleasure to present you with the "Revered Coupe Jacket", Here's your sign!!

Very cool!

It's unfortunate that the prior owner couldn't finish it, but good that the owner (I assume) could let the car go, rather than letting it sit until Doomsday.

Congrats. Always nice to see a build resurrected and brought into the light. Strap your new jacket on tight and put a plan together. Just when you think you have it all planned out, remember that everything almost fits and bolt-ons don't.

It's a great project, enjoy it.
