Well, I have been redesigning and updating products lately, like the Power Steering Controller recently, and I just thought I would call everyone's attention to the fact that I have just upgraded the Alignment Shim Kits. They are the same parts, but instead of painting them, I am having them zinc plated in gold and silver so that they 1) show up having, hopefully, survived the shipping process a little better, and 2) will hold up better in their installed locations. They are a couple dollars more, but I think the finished product is MUCH better looking AND performing.

They can be found here...

I'm finally getting ready to do the alignment on my car, so I'll be installing the shims soon. With that said, do you have a installation "pattern" that can be copied onto our cars, to jump start the alignment? What shim orientation for the uppers & lowers, front and rear?

I realize that most of the GTM's vary widely. But aren't the alignment points pretty close?

I can get the toe in set pretty easily. But what tools are needed to set the camber and caster correctly?

Thanks,

Mike

Stig,

You really need a camber/caster guage to do this properly. It can be done with a digital protractor also, but you should be able to find someone selling a camber/caster guage reasonably on ebay or CL, I would think.

As far as getting the suspension close, there is a procedure listed in the "helpful hints" section of the instructions. Basically you get the settings close with the stock cam bolts, then mark them and transfer that setting over to the closest shim. This will get you very close, and you should only need to go a couple shim locations one way or the other to fine tune the adjustments. :)
