Today I received an e-mail from Mike and Kim Stockwell, the parents of Capt. Brandon Stockwell, who gave us an update on how he’s doing after his fourth deployment to Afghanistan and Iraq. Mike included some photos of Brandon with his Factory Five Roadster and the attack helicopter he flies.

“He’s pretty proud of his build and it was quite the head turner at the base and flight line,” said Matt and Kim Stockwell.

Man - where to start?

First - thank you for your service. Next, wonderful build. After that, I gotta admit that my old means of judging cool factor by "cylinder count"; i.e., the number of cylinders in the things we own, can no way stand the test against that other snake of yours. Those of you who are pilots out there know what it means to have "ramp cred," and the Captain has it in spades!

Thanks for the support from everyone, it means a lot. Definitely a fun build for me over the course of three deployments and then I had to put it in the garage for the fourth. Hopefully I won't have to deploy for a while now and can put some miles on the car. Looking forward to the next build!
