Any issues with either the 295/50R15 or 275/60R15 fitting in the rear of the Coupe? I have the FFR 15" rims.
Any thoughts on which will fill the wheel well the best?

Either will fit, the 275 60s are very tall and may appear to be narrower than the 295s but the 60 aspect ratio makes them actually wider than the 295s with the 50 aspect. The tall is good but it will affect gearing a great deal. The back spacing will make some figuring; the size of the wheel and the length of the axle used. HTH, Richard.

I have the FFR supplied IRS and the FFR 15" wheels. I hope there is no back spacing issue...

275 is actually on the narrow end for the coupe. Most use something in the range of 295-315, and 335's will fit with the right rim. No mods needed.

I agree with John. The 315's on the back look small....a 275 in back will look like a compact spare!

I'm going to get the 295s for now. My buddy gave me 2 245s for the front so I've got some rubber to set the car on. As with most things I never get it right the first time so I end up buying 2 of everything...
Sort of like today. I bought a Ford Racing Spark Plug wire set. I got the "Custom" set...the wires are numbered so you are stuck where they go and 3 are too short. They will not reach the wire loom bracket in the middle of the valve cover. So I bought a second set of Ford Racing Spark Plug wires but this time I ordered the "universal" set...I hope the wires are long enough this time.

Personally
I like the look of the 275/60/15 on the back. it gives the car a very vintage OEM look. I know I am on my own Island when I say I like a thinner tire on these cars, with the correct backspace as not to push the tire to far in.
These are not 275's they are to small but you get the idea.

Hi,
If you are just cruising or showing then wheel and tire weight doesn't matter, put on what you want.
However if you are into handling then go with matched tires and wheels.
A 17 x 8 wheel is 3 or 4 lbs lighter than a 17 x10 wheel
A 245 tire is 4 lbs lighter than a 295 tire.
So you can end up with a heavy tire and wheel combo that is not going to make up the difference of the wider tire grip.
The original coupes ran 6" wide tires, I run 8" wide tires 245/45x18 Goodyear Eagle F1's, on all 4 corners, perfectly balanced handling! 'W' rated for high speed. The coupe does not weigh enough to put on huge 335 rear tires to warrant an extra 8 lbs for each wheel/tire.
Good luck,
Perry.

Does anyone have recommendation on tires for the FFR Halibrand 17 x 9/10.5" combo? I realize this is subjective but Perry's message above got me thinking. I like a staggered wheel look but don't want to compromise handling by shoehorning the widest rear meat that will fit
