Nelson,
Jorge has a great looking car!! you will like it a lot.
I'm building also a FFR MKIII but it's not a straight forward build. It has many many modifications. I'm hoping to drive it by the end of this year.

Hi Nelson. I'm in the Doral area close to the Turnpike and NW 74th.
We also have LuisO with a MKII supercharged 331, Jim has a MKI twin turbo 408W, and Mike with the Terminator Daytona Coupe. Raul Iglesias has a 347 (I believe it's a 352) twin turbo MKI with about 800 HP. Leo has a MKIII with a 351W and Webbers.
As you can see, looks like South Florida likes boost a lot...
I'll send you a PM right now.
Steve... I'm still using the body buck :)
Cheers

You could join the Deep South Cobra Club. There are all makes there, don't limit yourself to just FFR. The other guys are nice too! I know there is a group that meets regularly around Naples but I don't know of any on your side.

the deep south Cobra club does nothing here in south florida. Its more Ga. and northern florida, there actually as been nothing here, closest the deepsouth came was possibly Palm Beach Int.raceway, but I believe it was Sebring actually.................................Steven

Steven, A couple of years ago the Tour of Florida started in Tampa for us west coasters and stayed the night over in Sunrise and drove to Melborne the next day. Ended up at Old Town in Orlando. Over at Club Cobra you can contact CobraDan, he seems to cooridinate a lot of meets in Naples.
Once my car is on the road again I want to have a meet in Key West!
Good Luck.

Key West sounds like a plan to me...
Remember there was once the Reptile Round up? What ever happened to this one? It was in Jupiter/Tequesta.

The Reptile Roundup still happens but the last few years they have been in north Florida. I guess there are a lot of Cobra friendly roads up there. I hope to be on the road by the end of the year.

Too bad there isn't anything here in South Florida. I remember that the Jupiter cruise was AWESOME. Great roads and great little restaurant on the bay. I too should be running by the end of the year... probably no paint but running...

There are a LOT of us Cobra-types here in south Florida! We've had an email list to keep in touch for about 10-12 years now, PBCOFFROG, and it works pretty well. Not a club, no dues, but plenty of help and advice available if you need it. PM me your name and email address if you'd like to be added to the list, EVERYONE is welcome even if you're not fortunate enough to be driving a FFR.
BTW, we DID have a fantastic locally-organized and hosted event 2 times here in Palm Beach County about 12 years ago: "Flash, Dash and Thrash", including a great car show, group cruise up the coast for eats and grins, and super autocross event hosted by Central Florida SCCA just for us. That event turned into the much-more successful "Reptile Roundup" hosted by Deep South Cobra Club...which is still being held every year around early November. In 2010, it was held in Palm Beach County, with the open track event run at Palm Beach International Raceway. This year's RR will be held in Ocala, with show, tour, and track components. Track day will be at Gainesville Raceway. Fantastic safe place to play with our cars.
LUIS: will that monster car of yours EVER be done? I love your style!
Sorry I've been away from this Forum so much, will try to stop by more frequently, and will definitely get you guys hooked up with our email list. Thanks for reading all this stuff.
