I was reading ahead in the manual last night (should have read the whole thing first! &*^%$$#) and came up with an issue. I've installed the trunk aluminum and tank and there appears to be no way to get three out of the four body mount bolts in front to rear as the manual prescribes. I don't want to drop the trunk because the p-side strap barely fit. I had to jack. lever, clamp, etc. to get the nut to bite and that was before the trunk was on. I briefly thought about the possibility while installing the tank but just moved forward. Has anyone mounted the bolts in from the rear? Any other problems from this approach. I'm doing the FF bumpers.

If your doing bumpers they need to go in from front to rear. Or you could use threaded rod and put nuts on them.

The threaded rod sounds like a great idea! That's exactly what I'll do. Thanks!

I used 4 threaded unions and attached them to the frame from the back with 3?4" bolts and red lock tite. I then used shorter bolts through the sleeves, the body and cut down the inner stainless sleeves to comensate for the length of the unions. Now all I need do is take the bolts out from the rear and the body is ready to lift off. The small bolts and unions remain in place permanently. These pictures might help.

I had the same issue, installed tank before body mount bolts. I slipped a jack under the tank and removed the tank strap nuts while supporting tank with the jack, then lowered tank enough to insert body bolts. The straps went back on the second time with no problem. Took 5 minutes.
