Hi!

I am thinking a little ahead of time, but the 818 of my choice will be a track version with full cage etc and 400-600whp(might be less). The reason I ask is because of a 100db sound limit while driving at the track there. If you are any louder you will have to go off the track.

What muffler will both flow and keep db down? I got little to no experience with exhaust exept from bolting up a Tanabe Medallion 3" exhaust on my eclipse gs-t a while back.

100db at what distance? I use to race off-road dirt bikes. Some races had a 9Xdb (can't remember the exact #) but it was measured 12 inches at a 45 degree angle from the silencer.

So if they are measuring from the grand stand, you could run about anything you want. 12 inches and you'll have to be careful. BTW, a close range 100 db is a friggin' LOUD exhaust.

It is 12inches and 45degree angle from exhaust and at high rpm.

I don't know if it is extreme and that loud. A lot of people get problems there. I know how a more aggressive cam setup can affect sound.

Is it planned to go only straight back from engine to the outlet, or will there be a loop and a extra muffler?
