very interested in buying a Hot Rod but I have two big questions to the folks that already have built one... How does it ride and will I fit?
I'm 6'1" and 275 lbs.... don't want to spend time and money on something that I can't enjoy for less than an hour without making an appointment with a chiropractor.
Thanks

6'1" Should be no problem. Dan here at FFR is 6'3" and he fits in all the cars no problem. The suicide doors on the Hot Rod make it the easiest car we have to get in and out of.

Kind regards,

I think you would fit no problem, we have a similar "profile" so to speak. Even with the hard top, it's pretty easy to get in and out. I kind of duck down and slide butt first into the seat and then swing my legs in.

The ride a is little stiff, but the stock seats are actually pretty comfortable. I've driven it for up to three hours at a time and it's reasonable. Some people have opted for the race seats which might give you more leg room (less cushioning), but there's no way I would want to ride on a hard seat for any distance. I opted for the automatic becuase the foot well is kind of narrow and if you have a clutch pedal, you can't stretch your left leg out.

There are a few tricks to soften the ride if your going to strickly drive it on the steet also.

There is a google map of builders, if you post your location there might be someone nearby to take a ride with or at least look at thier build.

Good luck!
