I saw that car when it was being built, it is one nice piece of machinery. Also need to say, Allen is one hell of a guy, my first ride in a GTM was in his LS1 and he scared the snot out of me.

As in AllenFFR from CT, SO Cal has the GTM he built. He built the SLC along side Stage's SLC? Are we talking about the same guy?

Don't think so, this is his first Ultima, and he is from Kittery, Maine.

AllanFFR sold his GTM to a guy in California as you mentioned. But instead of an Ultima, he built a very nice Blue & Silver SL-C by Race Car Replicas. He's running a LS376 with a Ricardo gearbox (I think).

I thought that the "Ultima" and the SLC was the same car, just different assemblers?
Am I showing my ignorance again?

When Gary first posted the pics I only saw a pic of the engine area, but knowing Allen changes engines more than he changes his underwear, I figured he got a good deal on a 427. I only saw the blue color and the way the hatch opened and I bridged the gap incorrectly. Allens SLC is one awesome car! Now if they can only get working windows I would be saving my pennies again.

Nothing a little more bore, stroke, and nitrous/or boost wont fix!
That LSXR looks very pretty. What are the specs (I'm too lazy to Google it!)?
EDIT:
Found some info on the LSXR. It seems like quite the monster.
engineers successfully designed a block strong enough to support 2,500 hp
2500 HP on an aluminum block is probably good enough for the average kid, and then some. Who needs my iron block
with strength like that? Mind you $4500 just for the block is quite a setback.

I see your point... And you're 100% right!
According to Allan, they have a 1/2 window option, and the completely closed option.
The A/C would have to be kept in top shape 24/7. But it's a cool car. I think Allan said that he finished it in less that 500 hours... Including bodywork and Paint, which he did himself. His work is impressive.
But I'll stop there, since i'm on the verge of unintentionally Hijacking Gary's thread.
