The FF Manual instructions just aren't resonating this morning (one too many last night?). I figured out the rear harness and have it dieted down to just fuel sender and lights since I have a mechanical fuel pump. I'm guessing that I should just leave the wire ends on the tank for now but I don't know which tubes to zip them to and whether to go over, under, around or through as I move the harness forward. I know the whole area will be covered in aluminum and don't want to have to redo.
The manual says to come off the left rear marker light for the license plate bracket light. I think I know the answer to this question and may be just being testy - Does the roadster have marker lights (and what the heck is a Marker light?)? I'm pretty sure the brown wire in my '88 donor runs the tail, license plate, and anything else that comes on with the light switch so my question is probably rhetorical but correct me if I'm wrong.

AZ, this may or may not help (mine is a Mark II w/Mark II build guide), but I did the donor diet and subsequent routing. What you are tackling was the same as me--that is where best to route the wires.
Marker lights--no, there are no marker lights on the FFR. Mustang donor harness had marker lights. Yes, you can use whatever "tail light" feed wire you want for the license plate.
I ended up running the bulk of the wiring after the panels were in place (clecko-ed or riveted), and I redid it about 12 times. In the end, I just kind of ran it where it seemed to make sense, was up out of the way, and protected as much as possible. I rewrapped all of the wiring with dry vinyl wrap (from RJM Injection Tech), then ran it inside split plastic wire loom.
Specifically for the rear section, it went around the outside of the trunk tied up under the small square tubing, then up the left hand side up to the main frame rail for the top of the trunk. Then down to the transmission tunnel. All of it was "outside" the aluminum panels. If I had to do it all over again, I may have tried to put it all inside the trunk down in a corner (just to keep it out of the weather more) before heading to the transmission tunnel.
I also figure that all of this will give me a better idea of what I'm going to do on the next one! :D

Thanks, that's pretty much what I decided to do this morning. This part of the manual is confusing to me. Did you wrap it right away and permanently attach it? Seems like once the routing is settled, it's time to finalize it. I've got a ground for all the rear stuff and it seems like I should just attach it now as well.

I waited, and waited, and waited... :) In reality, I could have attached permanently pretty quick, but I didn't want to mess something up and regret where I ran it. Once all the aluminum panels were down, I didn't move the wiring much at all from where I had intended.
