In prep for the first start, oil pan has been changed (drained oil and refilled) and fluids topped up etc. (no headers yet)

Question: Is there a sequence to follow to insure proper oil circulation througout the engine prior to start-up?

I read somewhere that new LS engines require a special procedure regarding oil circulation prior to start-up or the life expectancy of the engine can be reduced by as much as 80 percent.

Thx for the help

I hooked up an old oil pressure gauge and jumped the starter directly from an old battery. It turned over maybe 10 times and the oil pressure came right up. Hooked the starter back up and fired it.
