Nice job and a Ford win.
I love the David Pearson connection. How great is that youngest winner, 2nd Cup race, legendary team, and Fords all over the top 5.
What a nice kid too. Awesome.

It was sad that Jr. didn't have a better finish, but over joyed that the Wood Brothers have made it back to the winners circle. I Agree GREAT RACE!!! Trevor Bayne drove a great race, a well diserved WIN!!

Haha, I remember the Wood Bros. last win. It was neat seeing that #21 up front.
You're dead on, Trevor earned that win. Man is his life about to change.

What a wild finish!! I'm thrilled for Trevor ... he did a heck of a job. I really enjoyed seeing all the established drivers coming over to congratulate him after the race. Way cool the way Carl Edwards and David Gilliland blasted their way into 2nd & 3rd place, for a 1-2-3 Ford finish. Great for the Wood Brothers, also.

Agree Trevor Bayne drove a great race, and the whole Wood Brothers/ David Pearson connection was pretty darn cool....I guess, as they say, dreams do come true, and Trevor Bayne may just have to pinch himself in the morning....... I don't think I've missed a Daytona 500 in nearly three decades, and IMHO, the re-paved surface at Daytona changed the entire complexion of the race. Those two-car tandems made for some interesting bed-fellows out there on track, and resulted (or heavily contributed) in more than 15 cautions, and a whole lot of wrecked race cars. While I've continued to watch the Daytona 500 over the years, (more as a right of passage into the race season), my overall interest in NASCAR waned to an all-time low some 8-10 years ago when they strayed too far from the fan-friendly sport in which I competed nearly 25 years ago, and became mega-money machine that gouged fans for every penny.....Today, the little guy (relatively speaking) won, and for at least a moment there in Victory Lane, NASCAR's burnish became a little brighter.

I agree with everyone. It was really nice to see the Wood Bros Team on the podium again. And that Trevor Bayne kid... What a day for him. His contract will probably get re-written in the morning. And what a nice kid. I'll be rooting for him all season!

Great win for Trevor, very cool and happy for him. Did anyone catch the reporter in the winner circle call him Travis?
Not sure if I agree it was a great race though. Interesting for sure with the 2 car draft and all the yellow flags. Karen's post on it changing the dynamic for sure, I don't think I've ever seen them do two way communications between different drivers like that before. More and more I am becoming less of a fan of plate racing...

Just glad, Bush, Johnson or Sterwart didnt win.......was hoping to see David Reagan or Jr pull out a win. But Blayne seems like a great kid.....glad he won.

The result was great, but the tandem racing was kinda stupid. They should rethink the aerodynamic changes to prevent that.
