Despite the threats of rain my wife and I took our Coupe to A Black Tie charity event at the Simeone Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. You should see the looks you get traveling in The Coupe down I-95 in a Tuxedo and evening dress. We arrived at the same time that Dr. Simeone did coming from the other direction and I saw him doing a double take, glancing at the Coupe as he pulled on the lot just in front of us, he owns CSX2287 displayed in the museum and while I’m sure he didn’t suspect someone was out driving his Daytona, the FFR looks similar enough that he would recognize ours for what it is… or perhaps he thought we were CSX2601. :) Would of liked to have gotten to talk to him but he was pretty busy that night.
At one point I went back outside to see what other cars showed up along the red carpet, and the valets said that my Coupe was voted their Favorite car that they would most like to take for a ride and where are the keys? They also had comments like…” My wife is part of the wait staff and we live around the corner, can I borrow the car to pick her up.” And... “We need your car to pick up a couple more bags of ice”. :)
The Ford GT was one that we just sold and the owner of our dealership, Todd Buch, generously provided tickets to the event for the new GT owners, Us and both of our cars. The food, entertainment, staff, host, and of course the venue, all contributed to a great time.

Tim,

Pretty cool. You in black tie, your wife in her little black dress, and the coupe in it's little blue dress, all dressed up for the "ball". I bet there were quite a few double takes!!

WEK.

You are the Man!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I could of been there. I don't know if you remember, but I'm the guy whose semi finished coupe couldn't get off the trailer due to my neglect in putting in enough gas at the 2009 FFR open house. You and Andy Salvaggio kindly wanted to help push me all the way to the coupe area that day. I hope mine will look as good as yours does as I am also emulating CSX2601. Still have to take off the body for final work and paint. Maybe this summer, I hope. Again, what a day that must have been at the museum.

Tim......Everyone (you, your lovely wife, and your beautiful Coupe) look outstanding! You've truly captured the essence of these cars in your build, and it's easy to see why your Coupe was the "editor's choice" that evening. Congratulations!!!
