Call me crazy, but I think I want my next project to be a 1938-1942 Ford Cabover. Anyone sees one in a field somewhere give me a shout.

I want to build something like this:

oldguy-

Looks like a bull dog (or maybe a pug or pekingnese) cabover! Pretty funky design! You will have to let us know if you get the project started and how it progresses...

Steve

Before it looks like that, it probably will look like this:

Yeah, but still pretty wicked!! A boatload of work with unimaginable challenges, it still rocks! Good luck!

Steve

I was wondering where the rest of the front end was. Never seen one of those before.

Good luck with your next project. I think those are Way Too COOL.
Please post your progress and pictures.
That would make a great car hauler / tower.

Didn't know if you had seen this:

I had never seen one of those cab overs in a pick-up before your post.
Those are so cool!

Good luck in finding one. A buddy just finished restoring a '50 Chevy PU, basically stock. All cool toys

I have to confess that I sometimes watch "Storage Wars" and this little honey has been driven in by Barry Weiss a couple of times. This bug bites as hard as the FFR bug!

Just think of the possibilities with a crew cab...

Didn't you buy a lead sled recently? Not enough projects?

Oldguy,
That would be one of the coolest ever haulers for an FFR. I saw a picture of one of these about a month ago and it's the first one I ever saw I think. That's weird! WEK.

Just the front fenders on that REO weigh as much as an entire FFR roadster! And, yes, I did buy a 1950 sled but it ended up getting shipped back to the dealer in Tennessee because it was not even close to the condition that they represented. I ended up eating one-way shipping but I learned a valuable lesson.

Its not a Ford, but I have a 1936 Chevrolet truck looking for a new home ...

Not sure if I can post pics yet...
