After much debate and talking to Gordon at Levy Racing, I am sticking to the roadster, I do not feel comfortable building the 65 coupe.
Question, does anyone have a roadster near Savannah, GA that I could see. I haven't seen one of the Factory Five Kits and would love to if I could get the chance.
Thanks
Beau

I am not exactly near, Jacksonville Beach. But, if you are headed down this way, I would be happy to show you a kit. Notice I said kit, not car. I have not really started yet (house renovations), so I have the front control arms on and the passanger footbox mocked up. You can get a good look at the frame, body and parts for a base kit + a few options.
I have a MKIV base kit, 3 link, stainless side pipes, 4 into 4 small block headers, FFR gauges, FFR 17x9 and 17x10.5 Halibrands, chrome dual roll bars, tubular LCAs, standard seats, and powder coated frame.
There is probably someone closer with a completed car, but seeing the kit lets you see what you are getting into.

Have you found it to be challenging so far or is everything going together quite smooth? I might be down that way next week will keep you posted.

Easy so far. I was a little nervous laying out and drilling the first panel or two. It is no big deal, I was just wanting to do it the "best" way, and there are a hundred opinions out there.
A couple of tight spacers on the UCAs, but they went in with a little effort.
If you have some mechanical ability and realize that a hammer is not the best way to fix everything, you will be fine. Building a whole car sounds like a daunting task. But, if you break it down, it is easy. Put coilover spring on shock - easy. Install LCA - piece of cake.
Having two forums and being able to call FFR and vendors and ask questions is a huge benifit on these cars.
I work from home most days, so just let me know when you want to look.
