Fuel economy driving a bad decision at Ford for the next Mustang?

Again?

Reminiscent of 1974 & the Mustang II.

Say it ain't so Bill!

Don't know if the picture is or will be the new Mustang but I must say no matter what it is it is one great looking car!

Found this on the internet - pic is titled "2015 Mustang". From what I'm reading, the "new" mustang will use the Ford Evo platform, picture above is the Ford Evo. . .

Looks good to me. Dale's pic shows that the Evo could easily have a more Mustang external style and yet have a modern interior and suspension.

There was a whole different Mustang disaster in 1971, an ugly 2 door the size on an aircraft carrier.

The Mustang II, even a Cobra II. Sad years for American cars across the board.

Remember the Probe? That was supposed to be the 25th anniversary Mustang. When people freaked out over a front drive Mazda powered Mustang, they just made more of the last year and stuck a 25th badge on it. That is why there was nothing really special that year.

The picture of the new car looks nice, really nice. It looks a little like an Alfa Romeo Brera. I almost bought one when I lived overseas. Beautiful car......depriciates as fast as an ice cream cone at the beach though.

Thst reminds me. When I was in high school I was working at a gas station. That was when you took your car to one to get fixed. I was changing the oil on a Mustang II with a 302. The oil filter on those were squezed in so tight we had a filter wrench that we cut the band down to about half thickness just so we could get it on. Just for Mustang IIs. Ford was running an ad campaign that was "Ford, better ideas". I was changing the filter and commented that this must be one of Ford's better ideas. The customer heard me and said "I'm an engineer for Ford. There are reasons why it is like that." Oops!

Yeah and he was probably it!! Sounds like a total assdouche. I mean really, an engineer for Ford who can't change his own oil? Come on. He must have been just effing with ya.
