Hey y'all,

I've been following Factory Five for some time, but only really started getting interested once I heard about the Project 818. I know I'm a little late to the show, but it still has me excited. I mean, who wouldn't want a light, agile sports car for around 15K? Anyways, after researching some of my personal questions about the 818, I figured I'd join in and really start learning about what FFR is all about.

Now, I do have a question that I would like y'all's answer to. When I get everything I need for the 818, this car will actually be my first build. Now, I've worked on and messed around with cars just about since I was able to, and actually had to replace a good number of parts on my first car. However, I know actually building a car will require a great deal more work, and will take commitment. I still want to build one, I just want to know what to expect: common problems, tips and tricks, or just your own story. Any and all feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

Ah, you're from my neck of the woods...I live off the Grand Pkwy just below Katy.

Knowing Factory Five, the same quality will go into the 818 as with the other kits, so you should have NO problem building it when the time comes. The only experience I had before building my roadster, was doing bolt-ons to a 5.0 mustang. The only thing that intimidated me was the wiring(which I was able to do), other than that, it was very easy. I built my roadster in 03-04, and have enjoyed 8 years and 15,000 miles of trouble free driving. :)

Hey guys, I actually live out in Fulshear. My MK IV roadster kit was just delivered about a week and a half ago.

331Stroker...I'm off off 99 just south of Westpark, and Fulshear is one of my typical cruise routes. I have a MKII, but I'd like to swing by and check out your MKIV sometime.
