Hey guys just wanted to stop by and say hi. I liked the facebook page to get updates, and joined the forum recently to read up on info about the kits. I am planning to buy a 818 kit in the near future and build one. I have been wanting to do a full restore or kit car project for some time. I have tried to make that work on a couple of different occasions but things never worked out just right to make that dream come true. Right now things are lining up pretty well for me to purchase and build an 818. I probably won't be able to buy it the moment its avaliable to purchase. Money that I though would be coming in hasn't. So the more likely time frame is two years from now when my current car will be paid off. I plan to keep my current vehical as a daily driver/hauler and build the 818 as a fun, nice weather car. You probably won't see much activity from me on the forums at the moment, but I will be here reading and learning.

Right now my biggest project is cleaning out my garage and turning it into a shop. We recently moved into a new house and most of the moving boxes are in the garage so thats the first project. I used to be a mechanic so I have a nice set of tools, but I need to get a work bench(had one but got rid of it years ago), a compressor, and a few other tools I will probably need. Basically gonna turn the garage into a shop/storage shed for outdoor tools. Not alot of room side to side, so work on the 818 will probably take place outside with the car being pushed back into the garage at night.

Which also reminds me, I am probably gonna rip down the sheet rock in the garage as well. its not insulated at all. So no working in the winter time which will be when I probably get the best chance to do some work on the project. Plus insulating the garage will help keep the upstairs rooms over the garage warmer.

Anyways, I look forward to disscussing the 818 with you guys, and I look forward to its release.

Welcome EvilJack,

Sounds like you have a good plan. I too insulated my garage and put a wall AC in. AZ is known for it's warm summers so 95 degrees in the garage is normal even with the insulation. Whether its keeping you cool or warm it's important to be comfortable to do your best work. There may be a 818 in my future so I look forward to hearing your posts in the future. Maybe we can share some ideas. Good luck, WEK.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Until I get the 818 or even the donor vehical I may post up my progress on my garage. Right now its nothing to look at as its full of stuff. However I have been bringing in at least one box/item every night. More on weekends. Anyways I am enjoying the forum so far. Hopefully I can contribute something useful.
