Another beautiful early spring weekend in Michigan. Saturday cruised in the Roadster across town to my brother's house for a great dinner. He hadn't seen the Roadster since it was finished. Took him for a "spirited" ride. Great fun. He loved it. Turned 600 miles on the way back. Everything is working perfectly. Running out of things to tweak...
My son was in town all weekend, and hadn't seen the Roadster in person since very early in the build. Not only did we have a great time cruising together, decided on Sunday he should have a chance to drive it. His DD is a stick shift, so wasn't too worried about it. After an initial check drive around a parking lot, we ventured out. He did great. The first time anyone else beside me has driven it, and first time for me to be in the passenger seat. He drove if from the street into the garage while I was out. First time I've seen (and heard) the Roadster from other than the driver's seat. I see now why every cruise gets so many comments and so much attention. I miss the build, but this is a great time as well.
Picture my son posted of himself on Facebook. His buddies accused him of posing for the picture but not actually driving it. We both know differently.
