moser axle offset

I have the FFR moser axle and have been looking at Wilwood rear brake kits (specifically 140-9223). All the Wilwood kits for the 8.8" axle show a 2.5" axle offset. After measuring the Moser it appears that it has a 2.75" offset.

Does anybody know why FFR and Moser did this? Does FFR sell a spacer for this, or does Wilwood? I called the FFR tech line today and everyone was busy. I'll try later, but thought I ask here as well.

The Moser axle works fine with Fox Mustang rear components, so any Wilwood setup made for the Mustang 8.8 should fit. Call Mike Forte or Gordon Levy for the right stuff.

The wilwood mounting bracket comes with spacers you can move to make up the extra space. I had there brakes mocked up on the Moser housing till I realized I could not use that housing with Levy's five link.
