This weekend I got my first chance to bolt parts on the frame and got all the front suspension with the brakes, all the steering up to the dash, and started on the rear suspension. I am going to make some set up tool to make adjusting the suspension easer and more repeatable. I am making setup plates to take the place of the wheels and tires so that tire pressure and ware won’t be a factor. I am also making shims that go on either end of the steering rack housing and lock the steering in the center position.
This leads me to ask several questions. What ride height should the coupe frame be set at front and back and where are the measurements taken. I have IRS if that makes a difference.
Is there an easy way to check the caster. It doesn’t look like there is any reference surface that is parallel or perpendicular to the steering axis.
Thanks,
Bill Lomenick
