I'm doing some research on seats and I'm seeing sliders and seat tracks. Do you need the seat tracks or can you just bolt the sliders to the floor?
Also is a 22" bolster width too wide, or will that fit?

Thank you,

John

What brand/type of seat are you looking at?
I have Kirkey Intermediate Road Race seats with a 17" width.
My "trunk" measures a robust 46" and I fit snuggly in the seat with the supplied upholstery/seat cover.
I come from a road racing background and really enjoy my lateral g's and don't like to wallow around.
I believe that a 22" bolster width would impose undue restriction on placement of the seat.
I just went out to the shop and did a rough measurement of the driver's side floor width -- 21 1/2"
Mind you, that's without the aluminum panels installed so it's only an estimate but I don't think your 22" seat is going to work without some modification to either the seat or the chassis.

Trout,

I'm just browsing on ebay for sports seats. Seeing a few options but I don't know if I can bolt the slider right the floor, or it needs the bracket.
Thanks for taking the time to measure, but when I mentioned the bolster width I meant the shoulder bolster width at 22". I'm not sure about the seats yet but I'm looking to have a more road going seat.
