it was a good day

Today was the first real run for the car and marked the first time my wife has come along. Admittedly the first 100 miles has been close to home just making sure all was well. Today we covered some 170 miles. IT was the first time that I really noticed all of the attention the car gets. We had stopped in a small town for lunch and parked on the main street. As we walked up and down the sidewalks poking into a large number of craft and art shops I couldn't help but notice a little crowd always around the car. I also received the first questions of what will be many I am sure. From a teens "I don't know what it is but it is way cool" to a guy about 65 who asked if it was a replica. When I said yes he just said "Very very nice"

After the trip my wife said that although loud she really really enjoyed the trip and was looking forward to more. I am a happy man.

Just now getting mine to GoKart so I can't wait to get to where you are. I thought your wife's comment about being loud was pretty funny. The reason it struck a chord was, I started up the roadster for my wife's friend who was visiting. They were both standing with their hands over their ears before I hit the switch. I'm sure you will have many more great stories to tell. Thanks, WEK.
