Hi.

I am looking for some advice on routing the e-brake cables from the rear disks all the way to the place where the outer cable sheaths connect to the frame. I am not sure of the best way to thread them over (or under, through, around?) the Moser diff and associated links.

FYI my car has all the FFR complete kit stuff including rear brakes and Moser 3-link rear.

I have done a heap of searching and I cannot find any specific info on this, so seeking some help.

Thank you

Hi Jethrow

I am building a MK4 with the same setup and diff. If you use the stock FFR E-Brake handle and cables, the E-Brake cables are installed below axel then feed up to the handle (as per instructions). I did not use this set-up and went with a stock Ford Fox body E Brake handle (black) with stock Fox Body E brake cables for rear disk brakes (this is a much cleaner set-up re cable routing - with the cables routed above the axel). The Mk4 is designed for both stock Ford Fox body E Brake and the FFR E-Brake setup. The Ford Fox Body E brake set-up does loose a bit of the cool factor by not using the FFR E-Brake handle.

Hope this helps

Tim,

I can e-mail you the instructions for the e-brake routing. They are shown very clearly in the MK4 complete kit e-brake handle instructions. Send me an e-mail at brian.z@factoryfive.com and I will send you over the instructions.

Best regards,
