View Full Version : Exciting Coupe Building Day
Got the engine and trans in....it's really starting to look like something now!! Now it's on to wiring....one step closer to first start. I really like the way the modular fills out the engine bay and I think I managed to keep it looking pretty vintage with the repaint.

Very cool! The Mod motor looks like it fits better in the coupe than the roadster.

yeah that's the spare off my daily driver that wheel was completely crushed on the donor
Hey Timb - that's awesome!
I'm planning my build now and would like to do a Coyote in a Coupe, but I'm a bit worried about the difficulty. Does it fit well on the 302 mounts, and what modifications did you need? I'm also curious about what options you chose (P/S, P/B, A/C) and how you are doing them. It looks like you have a P/S rack in there, so how are you driving the pump?
I can't speak directly to the coyote but the SOHC modular I am using came from a 2002 mustang and it drops right on the 302 engine mounts just fine no modifications necessary. I have PS, PB and will also have AC simce I used a donor car I will be driving the PS and hydroboost PB with the stock PS pump ( in the photo of my engine the PS pump will mount on the lower right hand side and the AC on the lower left side all stock configuration. When I ordered the coupe I ordered the optional 4.6 build parts for a roadster so I used the roadster drivers side footbox panels and modified the passenger side to fit the modular. Here is a link to my blog which will show the modifications I have done http://homeschoolcoupe.blogspot.com/ I hope that helps
