Exactly 11 months, 2 weeks and 2 days after picking up the kit my Mark4 is officially safetied, insured, licenced and on the road. I did a shake down 12 miles and all systems seem to be just fine. Purposely found some bumpy road (in my neighbourhood that is not hard) and there are no body rub issues. There seems to be no shakes or rattles but most importantly this car is kust toooooo cool. It steers like a go-cart and handles like it is on rails. I haven't even come close to testing the 375 ponies under the hood but I am going to work up to that slowly.

Observations so far.

Manual steering is light on the road and not tough to turn when stopped.
Manual brakes have great pedal feel and pressure required is light.

I would really like to thank the following people for all their help and assistance.

Dave Smith and the entire crew at FFR for producing such an awesome kit and helping me realize the dream.

Al Beix at Western Canada Cobras for answering all my questions and helping me launch this crazy project.

Mark Reynolds at Breeze Automotive for always delivering and going above and beyond in the name of customer service.

Mike Forte for providing advice support and some very choice parts.

As well, Richard Oben, Mike Everson and probably most importantly all of you on this forum who have answered questions, given advice and support without hesitation.

THANK YOU all

I included a little video of me leaving the driveway and heading off down the road for the first time.

Yea Baby.

Paul, very cool and a nice fast build, enjoy it!!

On the steering, do you know what Caster setting you used? When I first went on the road, mine was like you mentioned, pretty easy to turn when not moving, and pretty light on the road, I increased the caster to closer to 6 degrees which has made it a bit heavier when driving which I like more. It also made it quite heavy when not moving which is the only drawback.

I set the castor to 3 degrees. The ride height is a bit high on the back so once finally set i imagine it may increse very slightly. The steering on the road is very light but doesn't seem too twitchy. Of course it will take me time to get used to it and then I will decide if I need to increase it a little.
