My Roadster Arrived Today

Stewart dropped off the kit a couple of hours ago. I'm in the middle of inventory, a necessary evil but tedious and I'm only on box 3! Ray McEdwards warned me that UPS would be my best friend for awhile and I see I already have a steering shaft on the way. Hope to finish this inventory today so the fun can start tomorrow.

Keep all the parts in their original boxes. Much easier to find them later that way. :)

Congrats on the arrival.

I got mine in Jan. and only had three backordered parts: Front and rear nudge bars (an add on extra), and steering shaft.

I got the nudge bars in Feb.

My steering shaft is on the way. Scheduled arrival is Monday. So I would bet yours won't be far behind. You should have a sheet that shows everything that is backordered.

I bought a parts bin rack from Sam's club and have loaded all of the smaller parts into the bins. They are marked by FFR box number. I was able to completely empty several boxes and now things are easy to find. The rest is in the original boxes. Keep you inventory sheets handy. When it says "Install kanutzen valve" you need to be able to find it from the inventory sheets.

You will find that the inventory will have its fun moments.....steering wheel, LeMans gas cap, headers, and sidepipes to name a few.

Unpack the seats. Put them in and go for a "drive". You know you want to.:p

As I did my parts inventory, I used a sharpie, and listed what the box contained, and then crossed them out as they went on the build. I found that really handy in finding items quickly, for pre-fitting, or installation
