Worked on the panels a couple evenings this week and a couple hours today.
Lots of cutting this week and drilling. I'm going to count the holes I've drilled before this is over, gotta be over a thousand! :D seriously! I think I'm in the home stretch though. The trunk is almost complete, panels are done, just need to drill a few more holes.
I worked up the courage this morning to cut my rear shelf box. I'm very happy with how it worked out. I'll be installing a rear wall for the rear shelf box this week.

Looking good!

I'm at that stage also. It's a lot of drilling!

dallas, your build looks great (really like the tilt hood and stacks! TOO COOL :p) Paint looks REALLY NICE.
I'm also wanting to install heat shields on the footboxes. Any suggestions, advice, or things you'd do differently?
I was considering Polished Stainless Steel, but didn't know how hard it was to work with. I believe the aluminum would be easier to fab, and thought about polishing it.

Thanks for the nice comments. :)

I would stick with aluminum, it's easier to work with and it dissipates heat much better.

The aluminum polishes up pretty good, but I'm not sure how well it would keep the look without coating it with something. I used Sharkhide but I don't know how well it will hold up to the heat from the headers.

I will say that the heat shields work great. The foot boxes were pretty cool even without additional insulation.
