Just watched the Muscle Car show where they matched the FFR against an original Cobra. While watching I knew that car looked familiar. Last year some friends of mine on motorcycles when down to the Tail Of The Dragon in NC. Toward the end of the run I get stuck behind another car, but not just any car, an original Cobra. I didn't mind being stuck behind him (but I did mine us both getting stuck behind an obnoxious Harley rider). Turns out the Cobra I get stuck behind was the one on the TV show. Small world. Watch the video (turn the sound down until towards the end when the surprise happens, at 6:45).

Yeah, that was pretty cool. Apparently those guys were on a cruise together and this white Cobra was bringing up the rear (unbeknownst to me). At that last right-hander of the Tail there is that large pull-off area and 16 more original Cobra were there waiting for him. I thought I'd died and gone to Cobra heaven. If you turn up the sound there, you'll hear me fess up that my car was a fake, but Jim was quick to call mine "magnificent", that was pretty cool. Since they were waiting for him, they all pulled out before I could have much of a conversation with them.

My friend (one of the bikers in our group with a beautiful Victory motorcycle) jokingly said to me later that "If you're by yourself, it's pretty cool, but when you're with a pack of them, you're just another Cobra, LOL".

I liked the show but was dissappointed with the little detail of he original. They could have at least shown us the engine and told us the HP and some history of the car. I always suspcted a FFR could out muscle the old 427SC. Now it has been documented. Nice driving Dave.
