The back view of the his track variant of the 818 design is pretty hot.

I went though all 35 images.
I really like the Ford SUV.
I really like the Semi-Truck
I really like the Nissan electric car (the blue one)
A lot of work to like.
Some of the projects take on a pudgy look, and distorted perspectives. I keep thinking that I'm seeing odd things with the windshield angles on more than a few. However I really enjoy the style of the drawings, and the thought which went into each design is commendable.

love love love the modern Audi Quatro
Xabier still has the best "sexy catfish" design for the 818 in my book
I like the Nissan Hug, but his 818-R is still my favorite.

I miss Xabier, I was such a huge supporter of his design but unlike Rodney, he didn't stick around to keep refining it after the competition was over. How things kept plugging along after the winners were claimed, one could say the real competition had really just begun.
Had Xabier kept refining his design after the 3 scale models were revealed, his design could have been the first one to roll out. Instead, I imagine we're going to see something close to Rodney's design for the first model...

Hi guys! it has been a long time since I last posted a comment on the forum, but believe me, I have been following the forum constantly.
First of all, thanks a lot for having a look at my previous designs, I know kach, some of them have some very wrong perspective, and many many other things wrong ( I am the first to see them ;) but they were done about 4 years ago, when I was 16 or 17 years old and at that time they seemed pretty good for me, but not now... hahah!! At the moment I´m working on another project for a competition apart from university work so I am quite busy at times...
As some of you said, I should have tried to improve my 818 design, and I would love to, but it is not as simple as in rodney´s case. Mine is a 2D painting, so probably I would have to start from the beginning and make a new one, and as you have seen, 2D renders are not very good for showing how it would look like in reality. I mean, in a 3D model, the dimensions can be changed to adapt it to the real thing, make changes and see the result in real-time, but in a painting like my perspective I had to imagine how would it look like with those dimensions, so, making a new render wouldn´t help to the development because for producing it a 3D model is needed, 2D paintings are not enough... I´m trying to learn 3D for car design so, who knows, maybe in some time... ;)
Hope I expressed myself good enough, greetings from spain!!
If you have any more questions ask me, I would be glad to answer them!
-Here I leave my blog address, where I will post more designs and other articles, like for example one about the 818 competition I did ;)

Hi Xabier,
Greetings from Southern NH.
Very nice work! Glad to hear you chime in with the forum again.
I have personally enjoyed watching Vmans, Rodney's, and your own design developing.
Your 818-R track design and Speedboys GT track car are particullarly sweet.
Great design shines thru and gets even better with time ;)
Please keep us posted on your other work. Thanks!
