I picked up Roadster Base Kit at Factory Five on Saturday. My neighbor and I figured we would get there by 9AM and be the first ones there. We arrived a few minutes before 9:00 and we were 3rd in line! Robert from Canada was picking up another roadster and someone from Maine was getting a 33 Hotrod ahead of us. The guys at FFR were great and even while giving 2 other tours manage to load all 3 of us at the same time (during a snow squall I might add.) Nothing unusual for New England but it was 70 degrees 2 days earlier and hit 60 on Sunday the day after.....go figure
And since it didn't happen if no pictures... here's proof! The first photo is my neighbor Dan in the green jacket. I'm in the photo pushing the car into the garage. Smiling so hard my face hurt!:o

Thanks riptide! Awesome feeling! :o
I wanted an organized place to work on my hobby for the next couple of years and definitely needed an insulated garage to work in the winter time. Well a simple insulation and drywall project just got a little out of hand...... Imagine what will happen with the Roadster build? Here is what my garage looked like last March.

I'm jealous. My kit was completed a couple of weeks ago and I'm still waiting for Stewart to pick it up!

Tom,
Nice meeting you Saturday with your neighbor Dan! Great to see some pics of you unloading it on the other end. Can't wait to see it finished! Good luck with your build!

Cool shop with lots of room to work.
Yep, we had our house built almost 20 years ago and I finished my wife's side of the garage and added shelves many years ago, but never quite got around to doing my side. It's been on my list-o-things to do. But I was motivated after I placed my order, so now it's finished as well (might epoxy the floor after the build, time & money are focused on the car).
Putting it in the garage is a cool feeling. I left my garage door open all weekend so the neighbors could check it out!
What are your build plans? motor, trans, rear-end, interior, paint scheme/color? (looks like your going 17" Halibrands? )

Nothing like the day you take that kit home, I am sure I had a grin from ear to ear driving down Rt 95 heading for home. :-)
Congrats!!

Thanks Eddie! You and the boys at FFR did a great job getting us all loaded at the same time... and giving some private tours at the same time. I know everyone at FFR are surrounded by these great machines but as you can see you are helping to make a dream come true for many of us! Hope you share in our excitement. Keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Tom

MPtech you saw that huh:D. I bought the Halibrands at last years FFR Open House. Finished the garage and displayed them as a goal to shoot for a dream. At the time I and no idea how I would pull off getting my kit but a year later I'm living the dream.!
Some of my build plan is in my signature. Going non- donor with some goodies.

azbruin hang in there! The way kits were going out on Saturday I'm sure they will fill another truck and head your way soon! FFR extended their sale through March so I'm sure that will help.
Good luck!
