Does anyone have a pair of pusher fans mounted in front of the radiator on their FFR? I was looking at the kit sold by ********** and was wondering if the mounting had been tackled by anyone yet. Pictures would be great, too, if you have them.

Chris, sorry no pics, but mounting isn't too hard. I mocked them up with angle iron mounted to the motors, then have someone hold the fans where you want them, and from there you can figure out where you need to put uprights to mount the cross pieces from. Mine I think were just behind the quick jack mount on the bottom, and the 2 or 3 inches back on the upper tube that runs to the QJ mounts.

Also, give me a day to find it' but parts are available from Grainger if you want to put your own kit together.

Thanks, Scott - I was thinking that Grainger and/or McMaster-Carr would be good sources for the parts - there was probably nothing fancy for the motors and fans used on the originals.

Craig, thanks for picking up my slack, it ended up being such a great day, drove the car a bit, did some house work, played with the puppy and kids, totally forgot to look up those part numbers!

Here is a picture of mine. I turned the motors around so the fan is in front. Easy to install. They are worthless but look cool. You will never need them!

Make sure you check them. I had this happen to mine after about 4 years of use. I got 2 replacements from Grainger as the other blade had stress cracks also. These blades are primarily used for refrigeration or air conditioners and not really designed for automotive use. Luckily there was no damage to the aluminum radiator except for some bent cooling fins.

Jimmy, good post, also if your planning to do track days, pull the blades off, they just aren't needed and there have been a few reports of them breaking at the higher speeds. I actually haven't put mine on the car yet, still debating it, how over the top do I want to go, but have planned to pull the guts out of the motors and have them just for show if I do, so they will just pinwheel, again hoping to avoid the stress cracks.

The stress cracks were because I had them wired for use. Since then I rewired the fan behind the radiator and the pushers are for show only.
